I checked. Just another routine Windows Defender Update. That is it.
I still see that some users are struggling with KB976264. I really don’t know what to say. The March 9th version of KB976264, as opposed to its first incarnation in February, seems to have worked for MOST people.
I have told you about this Windows Update Readiness Tool. Maybe you should try that … if YOU are really desperate. But, if you do so, just keep on chanting the mantra: ‘Ballmer looks best in drag. Ooohhhmmmm. Ballmer looks best in drag. Ooohhhmmmm. Ballmer looks best in drag. Ooohhhmmmm.’ It won’t help with the updates but will keep your blood pressure, WITH LUCK, under 220/120. Only trying to help.
I think we need to move on from the updates. If you are still having problems with Windows 7 updates YOU ARE SCREWED. Downgrade to XP SP3. I would suggest Linux … but only if you do not need Wi-FI.
Man, the Wi-Fi support in Linux sucks. Ballmer must have written the code, dressed in drag and his red thong giving him a wedgie. I guess the Linux development community is too poor to afford Wi-Fi.
My 4 year old daughter uses Edubuntu. The Wi-Fi support is so bad that I cabled her today. But, she doesn’t like the cable. Something new. Something different. So she wanted the cable removed.
Edubuntu comes with a TON of free games. Right now she doesn’t use the games. She is accessing games on the Web! Well, she is my daughter. I might put her on a XP system because I am so fed up having to restart Wi-Fi every 30 minutes.
Well, that is where we stand. Computers suck. Who was that guy who wrote in InformationWeek that he likes computers. Talk about having your priorities screwed up. I like red wine. I hate computers.
